Latte Art Course

Latte Art Course

The latte art course held at the 7Gr. headquarters on Via Valparaiso 9 (Mi) is the course that has been preparing the best latte artists for several years, from the basics of preparing cappuccinos in the café to international competitions.

It has been shown that the appearance of the cappuccino and, in general, latte art influences customer expectations; different designs can indeed alter the taste expectations of the cappuccino.

In short, latte art is the best way to bring a touch of art and creativity to everyday breakfasts.

The Main Designs

The designs you will learn to create in the latte art course are mainly divided into designs created with the “Free pour” technique and those created with the “Etching” technique.

In the first case, the designs are created during the pour, without further modifications. In the second case, after the pour, the design is modified and enriched using a latte art pen.

The main free pour designs are the heart, rosetta, tulip, and vortex. From these simple four designs, you can then develop an entire series of increasingly complex designs.

LAGS Certifications

The “Latte Art Grading System®” is a certification system specifically designed to qualify the technical and creative skills of the barista in creating Latte Art designs.

This system is based on 5 levels called “grading,” each level reached is characterized by a different color, as indicated by the LAGS logo: white, orange, green, red, and black. Each grading corresponds to specific skills, of increasing difficulty, that the barista must have acquired and be able to demonstrate during the certification exam.

The Coffee Studio 7Gr. is the only authorized location in Milan and its province for LAGS certifications.

How Long Does it Take to Learn Latte Art?

Learning latte art, as one might logically think, is not immediate. It requires study, practice, and dedication, and the learning times also depend on the level you wish to reach. As in art, there is no set learning time; it is instead a path of continuous improvement that continues as long as the barista decides to train and improve this skill.

Even in the latte art course, it is possible to gain satisfaction from creating the first basic designs; it is certain that continuous improvement will make these designs increasingly precise and clear.
