Origin and provenance
Managed by Angel Reyes, Finca Agroloja is located in the province of Loja, at an altitude between 1500 and 1850 meters above sea level. Angel is a professional agronomist, and his family is known for producing high-altitude coffee with exceptional cup characteristics. Always pursuing excellence, he introduced high-quality varieties such as Sidra to his plantation and refined his post-harvest skills. Angel is now well-known in the specialty coffee world and has won several competitions. The production process for this microlot is “brilliant” honey. Angel’s honey technique involves fermenting whole cherries in closed tanks for 72 hours. The coffee is then pulped and dried on raised beds for 25 days.
