origin and provenance

In the lush forests of southern India, between the regions of Coorg, Chickmagalur, and Hassan, one of the world’s finest Robusta coffees is grown: Kaapi Royale.
Here, plantations grow beneath the shade of centuries-old trees, in ecosystems rich in biodiversity, where coffee grows alongside spices such as pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and vanilla. This natural coexistence leaves a clear imprint on the coffee’s aromatic profile, helping to define its spicy and profound personality. Altitudes between 900 and 1100 meters, combined with mild temperatures and even rainfall, allow for a slow and even ripening of the cherries, which are then processed using the washed method—a rare practice for Robusta, but crucial for obtaining a clean, fine, and well-balanced cup.
The cultivated varieties — Peredinja, CXR, 74 — are carefully selected to guarantee a dense and creamy body, low acidity, and a sensory profile that blends dark chocolate, licorice and oriental spices in an enveloping and decisive embrace.
