Marou Vietnam Lam Dong 74% Bar 80 G

  • What it is: this cacao thrives at the foot of lush wooded hills in Vietnam’s central highlands. The cool mountains of Lam Dong province produce a delicate chocolate with notes of plums, raisins, and coffee.
  • Origin: in 2011, Sam Maruta and Vincent Mourou, two French expatriates in Vietnam, founded Marou Faiseurs de Chocolat, Vietnam’s first artisanal single-origin bean-to-bar chocolate maker, amazing the world with their luxurious, high-quality chocolate. Created using only 100% local ingredients, from cocoa beans to cane sugar, everything is selected to enhance the aromas and flavors of cacao from individual territories, with complete control over the supply chain to deliver the best possible taste experience. Each bar is hand-wrapped in paper created using manual screen-printing techniques, featuring vibrant designs inspired by Vietnam’s natural and cultural heritage.
  • Ingredients: cocoa mass, cane sugar, cocoa butter.
  • Notes: a well-rounded chocolate with roasted undertones and notes of nuts, plums, and raisins.
  • Awards: Best in Show at the NorthWest Chocolate Festival in Seattle in 2014.
  • Storage: this premium chocolate must be stored properly. The ideal storage temperature is between 16 and 20°C. Avoid direct light and excessive heat or cold sources. For example, it should not be left in the car during summer or winter, as thermal shock could risk damaging it.
