ROASTING

The SCA Coffee Skills roasting module provides a theoretical and practical experience of the roasting process, roast levels, and the physical and chemical changes of coffee during the process, as well as the identification and correction of defects.

The Foundation, Intermediate, and Professional levels lead to the discovery of essential topics such as production techniques and roasting operations, earning points for the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.

The Roasting module consists of 3 levels.

FOUNDATION

This one-day course is suitable for both professionals and beginners and enthusiasts. It offers a solid introduction to roasting, both from a theoretical and practical perspective.

The roasting foundation course provides a basic understanding of the roasting process, including the roasting process and how to control the sensory aspects of coffee through well-defined parameters.

The course is worth 5 points in the SCA Coffee Skills Program.
